Parks & Recreation

The City of Henderson offers dozens of meticulously maintained parks, 46 to be exact, for all of the community to enjoy. In addition to the playgrounds and open grass areas, some of the outstanding features of the wondrous Henderson parks system include various walking and jogging courses, well shaded, safe and spacious dog parks, cutting edge modern skateboarding parks, cool splash pads and sports areas that are lit up during the evening and at night. Clearly there is something here for everyone to enjoy; whether you are a nature lover or love instead the idea of fabricated strainers and all things industry, whether you like crowds or the peaceful serenity of solitude, you will find exactly what you desire at the many parks in Henderson

The picnic areas that are scattered throughout the parks are available to all citizens from owners of condominiums in Toronto to Zookeepers on a first-come, first-served basis. There is also the option of reserving the area through the Parks Department reservation system. In case you are planning a big event and want to make sure there is ample room at chow time, individuals or groups may pay a user fee to reserve a specific picnic area. Be sure to book your picnic area well in advance to avoid any hassles or disappointments.

To keep Henderson's parks vibrant and beautiful for all to enjoy, from the local merchants to visitors who specialize in accounting software Vancouver based, there are several things that are prohibited in the parks. These rules are put in place to protect not only the visitors of the parks, but the trees, animals and insects too!

The following are prohibited in all Henderson parks: Fireworks, firearms or weapons of any type, Overnight car parking and camping, glass containers and bottles, including Alcoholic beverages (except by special permit that can be obtained through the local government). For obvious reasons horses, ponies or horseback riding (except at Equestrian Park which is a fabulous spot for horseback riding enthusiasts), Trucks (especially loaded with sharp wire duct pieces or landscaping tools), motor vehicles and bicycles are not permitted on turf or other unauthorized areas. Basically any activity or action that will cause damage to the grounds of the parks is seriously prohibited. The folks in Henderson take their parks seriously and have pressed charges in the past against people who have intentionally caused damage to the park, so you are strongly advised to be on your best behavior and avoid any of these or other harmful behaviors.

And finally, one of the most incredible programs within the Henderson Parks & Recreation Department is the 'Celebrate Life Commemorative Program', which allows anyone to plant a tree to mark a special happening, milestone or occasion. This innovative City of Henderson Parks and Recreation Department program provides residents with an opportunity to memorialize someone or something while beautifying your favorite park at the same time, and helping out the planet by generating more oxygen and cleaner air. What a wonderful and unique way to commemorate those special moments in life, whether it is graduations, anniversaries, or why not celebrate in this way to mark your promotion with the aquarium test kits retailer or your sister's engagement? With so many reasons to celebrate, there are sure to be many trees planted in this thriving city. The parks, trails and natural areas in Henderson are rivaled by nothing, and they are one of the many things that make this great city even better!
